From his earliest days as a financial advisor, Philip Board has been committed to serving clients with great care, by offering personalized attention, relying on lessons he learned from his father, and always delivering with humility and humor. Philip founded 1on1 Financial to deliver on his commitment to serving clients and has grown the firm from a one-person boutique to full-service practice with a team of professionals.
Philip’s approach begins with his investment philosophy, one that is tactical and proactive, fully committed to implementing changes as the economic climate is changing.
He earned a Master of Science in Financial Services as well as the Certified Fund Specialist designation from the Institute of Business and Finance (IBF) located in La Jolla, Ca. Philip also credentials in advanced estate planning as well as retirement income planning, both from IBF. He holds licenses in life insurance and health insurance along with the Series 7, 63, 65 and 24 registrations with Centaurus Securities, Inc. Philip is frequently invited to train other financial advisors across the country on how to use technology to be more effective and client centric.
Philip enjoys spending time with his wife Patricia, and their two amazing daughters adopted from China. His favorite pastimes include road and mountain biking, snow skiing and scuba diving. Philip is an active member of his community, served as two-time President of the Upland Foothill Kiwanis, and is active in raising money for cancer research.
